What is the difference between body chromosomes and sex chromosomes?

The only difference is between body cells and sex cells. A body cell is a diploid cell, or a full cell with full pairs of chromosomes. The human diploid cell would have 46 chromosomes. A sex cell is a haploid cell; a half cell with incomplete pairs of chromosomes. The human haploid sex cell would have only 23 cells, since the other half comes from the sex cell of the opposite sex.

A chromosome is a chromosome, and a sex chromosome means nothing more than that it is in a sex cell. It is still the same as a normal chromosome, just that there aren't as many units of chromosomes in a sex cell as there are in a body cell.
